The bible, when rightly divided, will make it a lot easier, or better yet, make it possible to even understand.
This "seemingly" complex message that God has provided and wants you to know is all written down in a
compilation of books that were written by men as they were inspired by God; (2 peter 1:21) they wrote as the
Holy Spirit moved them.
The message itself is simple but getting that message out of that book is not an easy one. It's ether that most
people are afraid of it or maybe it's just getting around the preconceived ideas of what they think it says or what
they think it should say.
(Well, that was what I always thought)
My hope here is to enlighten you on how the Bible is laid out and to whom it is talking to. However, it is the
spirit of God that opens the heart of man enabling him to be able to see and understand this word of God.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and everything on it, then He arranged things
to accommodate man which He created in Genesis 2: He put Adam into the garden to tend it and freely partake
of it, Gen 2:17 “but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat
of it you shall surely die.”
God saw that Adam needed a helper/mate so Eve was created out of Adam because "in Adam He created them"
Genesis 3
This was mans first choice, it's ether believe God when He said do not eat of the tree that is in the middle of the
garden or believe the devil when he said Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as
gods, knowing good and evil. Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it
was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat,
and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and
they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
In Genesis 3:10 they hid from God, this causing the first separation from God and causing man to hide and
avoid God and even today, will not desire to come to the light... 2 Corinthians 4:4
They were kicked out of the garden, this is the beginning of "the fall of man", this is where man is pretty much
on his own, man broke the covenant that was between Adam and God. This separated man from God, and
even their offspring will be born separated from God, this also was making "me", as everyone else born after
Adam a sinner; because anything apart from God is sin. But God has said right after Eve was beguiled Ge 3:15
that He would reconcile man to Himself. This phrase "but God" is found many times, and when it is used it is
usually to our favor.
Adam and Eve had kids, the first born was Cain and then Abel. Cain killed Able.
Read Genesis 4:1-14. A mark was put on Cain, so as so no man shall kill him. Then Adam and Eve had another
son named Seth (4:25) and it was Seth's son Enos and his family that they started to praise The Lord. Ge 4:26.
And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the
name of the LORD.
Then about 600 years of time went by and the population on the earth increased and man had become so evil
and corrupt God sent the flood, this, wiping out all the sin and ugly that has evolved through the time
leading up to that day. And with that flood, the mark of Cain was also taken from the earth making that mark
gone and past not to be used today. I was once asked what happened to the tree of knowledge? This tree is
never mentioned again after it was picked in the garden, it had that one purpose; to place a choice before man,
man made his choice.
Noah, his wife, his sons and their wives were to repopulate the earth. And then again the earth was filled with
people and again the people of the world grew to be the ugly and ungodly people that we are so prone to be, so
in Genesis 11 the Tower of Babel, God saw and didn't like what was going on so He scattered the
people and confused their language.
Again some time passes then God called out Abram to be a people chosen by God. Genesis 12:1.
And this is where "the fathers" of old or the forefathers of the Jew that was of the time of Christ we're brought
in. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Each one of these have a story that reflects a picture type of Christ, God and the
Jew's heritage and promises made, and even the calling out the Gentile for a bride to Christ. Genesis 24. This
chapter is about getting a bride for Isaac, but if read knowing what the Church is in Paul's writings you can see
a picture type of Christ.
